Noted in this deed is a suit of George Ewin (or Gwin?) for James Ewin (Gwin ?)against John Walker Sr. The location was "little" River on east side of said river. This probably was in Tuscaleechee Cove. The date of the sale was Jan 20, 1799. The property adjoined that of John Walker Jr.on one boundary and John Snider on the other boundary. This is the Samuel Walker who married Rebecca Davidson. The spouse of Robert Walker is not known. This appears to be the estate sale of property owned by John Walker Sr. If so, then he died before the date of this sale. It appears that there was a law suit over the property but the details are not known.

This sale took place April 22, 1793. The property transaction was witnessed by George Snider. This is proably the same property that adjoined the property owned by John Walker Sr. and was sold in the 1799 estate sale by the sheriff. This is the John Walker Jr. who married Caty Davidson and who came to McMinn County, Tn. with Rev. Robert Walker and Andrew Cowan. John sold his Blount County property in 1820 and purhased Hiwassee Land Grant property that same year on the same day and for property adjoining that of Rev. Robert Walker. According to some researchers he kept that property until after the Civil War and moved to Illinois before moving on to Benton County, Arkansas. His daughter Ann married John Roper Wooten and also migrated to Benton County, Arkansas, according to those researchers. This has not been confirmed but should be evidenced in census records for Benton and Washington County, Arkansas, if true.
