The following letters were written by George Snider to his brother Dr. James Snider of Missouri. It isn't clear whether these letters were written by Rev. George Snider or by his son. In this letter George Snider discusses politics and accuses or states that his brother James was a republican. He also expresses dislike for a Roman Catholic candidate. Part of his arguments consist of a dislike for the idea of a standing army and concern for the national dept. In this letter he mentions the death of Andrew Cowan, Esq. so this is another connection to the John Walker III descendants. It doesn't seem likely that he would be passing on information about Andrew Cowan were he not a cousin.

The following documents are photos of zerox copies of a Long family bible. The names don't look familiar so there is a question as to which Long family this applies. One researcher thinks that this appears to be the family bible of War of 1812 Veteran James Wright Long.

The following are articles taken from the book "McMinn County, Tn. and Its People 1819-1997" printed by McMinn County, Tn. Historical Society." These articles are "AS IS" and are PHOTOGRAPHS of the actual historical book. That is all they are represented to be. One researcher says that the article about the Rev. George Long is NOT CORRECT and that DNA evidence has proven it to be incorrect. MOST LIKELY, the people who wrote the articles simply copied research that was published in books or written in other articles.
